Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course
Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course is the perfect course to get in a golf game while you’re in Walt Disney World. Golf lovers have so much they can do during their stay in the Most Magical Place on Earth with Walt Disney World boasting several golf courses where golfers can take in the same courses that PGA tournaments have been hosted at!
Named for its famous Magnolia trees, Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course was the first golf course to open at Walt Disney World, opening when the famous Walt Disney World opened its castle doors in 1971. This beautiful course has hosted the PGA tour for 42 out of its 50 years. If you’re a golfer who has ever wanted to play where your favorite golfers like Tiger Woods have played- here is your chance!
Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course is the longest of Disney World’s courses, and is located in the Magic Kingdom Resort area near Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. Certified by Audubon International as a Cooperative Wildlife Sanctuary, Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course represents a paradise for serious golfers, as well as a thrilling challenge for players at all levels.
This course was recently extensively reimagined in 2022. With its newly-elevated design and innovative layout, the Magnolia course is sure to be the ideal stop on your next Disney golf day. Also, in celebration of the course’s 50-year history and the decades to come, each hole has been given a new Disney-themed name borrowed from a classic Disney film, and paired up with an inspiring quote from either Walt Disney or Arnold Palmer!
Holes #1 through #18 all showcase:
- New teeing grounds with overseeded Bermuda grass
- Reimagined greenside and fairway bunkers
- Newly recontoured Bermuda grass greens that offer fast and true putting surfaces
Here are some common questions and answers!
- Rental equipment is available so you don’t even have to worry about bringing your golf clubs. You will play with the latest equipment from TaylorMade Golf, in both men and women’s models, as well as Adidas golf shoes. Junior EPEC Golf rental equipment is also available!
- The use of your golf cart is included in your greens fee and is required by Disney to use on their 3 championship courses. Carts are designed to be shared by two guests and are equipped with a small cooler, a sand bucket to fill divots, front windshields and rear pull down club covers in case of one of those passing Florida rain showers!
- Reservations are highly recommended. While Disney will do their best to accommodate single or two some walk up golfers, it is best to reserve a tee time online here or call Disney Golf at 407-WDW-Golf or 407-939-4653. (Rope Drop Travel travel advisors offer golf assistance as part of their vacation planning services!)
- Disney asks that you please plan to arrive 30 minutes before your tee time to allow time for check in, cart assignment and healthy warm-up.
- If you are unable to make your tee time Disney asks that you give 24 hours cancellation notice. Tee times cancelled within that 24 hour window are subject to charge to the credit card they used to hold their time.
As of February 22, 2024- Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course is currently open for play as an 18-hole course, with an amended Par 70 routing! The finishing touches are still being applied to two of the holes, therefore, we have shortened holes #15 and #16 to accommodate use of all newly contoured greens, and are utilizing temporary teeing ground locations on holes #15 – #18.
During this time, we are offering a 15% discount off your greens fee rate, which will be applied at the time of check-in! If you prefer to play a different championship golf course, we recommend reserving a tee time at either Disney’s Palm or Disney’s Lake Buena Vista Golf Course.
