Walt Disney World's Baby Care Centers

Walt Disney World’s Baby Care Centers

Maybe you are a mom of an infant, baby, or toddler and you worry, like me, about changing your child in bathrooms. The idea of placing your baby on a germ-infested changing table from a previous messy baby may even put you on the verge of a panic attack (it did me!). Maybe you nurse and want some privacy from hundreds of people walking by you as you try to nurse. Now think about doing all of this on vacation….at a theme park.  With Walt Disney World’s Baby Care Centers you need not worry!

When my youngest was almost two, my husband and I decided to do a family vacation to Walt Disney World. Want to know what my first thought was? How am I going to put my child on a germ-infested changing table in a bathroom used by thousands of people?! Sounds silly right? Especially silly since I knew I had never seen Disney messy or gross because based on my experience, it’s always clean! So upon my arrival for our first day in WDW, I was thinking of scenarios about where I could take my baby if she needed to be changed… Maybe leave the park and go to the car in the parking to change her? No, that’s too much work. Maybe ride the bus back to our resort and change her there? No, too much work and time. Thankfully, a cast member overheard me speaking with my husband about my anxiety and she introduced me to one of the most anxiety-saving places I have ever stepped foot in….the baby care center. It also helps in managing children who may need some down time- check out my article for even more tips on having an amazing vacation in Disney for kids with ADHD.

Did you know Disney World has 4 baby care centers? There’s one in each of the 4 theme parks (unfortunately they are not at the resorts, water parks, or at Disney Springs). These centers are AMAZING and CLEAN and I highly recommend you try them out on your next visit to WDW with your babies, especially since it is free to use!

Inside of these centers, they have everything you need to take care of your babies, toddlers, and even older children. In a private room, with a door, you will find a private nursing area with rocking chairs while restrooms are available in a separate area. Another room has changing tables where cast members are either wiping down stations after every use or products are available to clean off the changing tables. A separate room hosts a feeding area with high chairs and a kitchen with a microwave and sink. They also have a room with a television, table, and seating, giving your older children something to do while you take care of your baby. If you need assistance while you’re in the baby care center, there is a cast member available to help you! This cast member will be located next to the shop where you can purchase things you’ve run out of or things forgotten such as diapers, wipes, sunscreen, over-the-counter meds, baby food, juice, formula, and clothing.

Disney bathrooms, in my experience, have always been beyond clean and I’ve felt comfortable using the changing stations in the park restrooms but if you’re able to go check out or use the baby care centers, you will not be disappointed! If anything, check it out when you need some air conditioning or some small free cups of water! You will not be disappointed in how Walt Disney World’s Baby Care Centers go above and beyond to help families of small children with changing and feeding needs
