Disney Genie is a complimentary and convenient new digital service designed to create your best Disney day!
Disney listened to guests’ feedback over the years and the number one aspect that guests wanted was an opportunity to make their Walt Disney World vacation planning even easier. Disney worked hard to give their guests more flexibility and better tools to make the most of their visit.
Introducing the new Disney Genie service!
Built right in to your My Disney Experience account, Disney Genie will maximize your theme park time so you can have more fun. It will guide Walt Disney World’s guests through their theme parks with a plethora of tips updated throughout your day. These can help reduce your time in lines, discover magic around very corner and to take the guesswork out of “what’s next?”
This service includes a personalized itinerary feature allowing you to receive updates morning through the evening. Disney Genie works for you throughout your day, helping to calculate your next move, in the parks so you can be more spontaneous.
Beginning the morning of your theme park day, guests who have a park pass reservation guests will be able to access and begin planning their day. On site resort guests can begin their planning at 7am and off property guests at theme park opening.
Once in your My Disney Experience the morning of your theme park day, guests will be able to quickly and seamlessly map out their entire day. Guests will be prompted by their app to choose from specific attractions, different foodie experiences, and entertainment. They will also be able to note general interests like Disney princesses and villains, Star Wars, thrill rides and more. Have little ones traveling with you? There is even a feature will allows you to note that you have a member of your party with a height requirement. From there, your Disney Genie will plan accordingly, suggesting attractions and experiences the whole family can enjoy together.
Guests will also be able to find all their favorites at a glance by creating their very own tip board to instantly see things they may want to do during their day. Disney Genie will take in to account your preferences and display current and forecasted wait times for a guests’ must do rides, allowing them to predict when they might experience quicker entry to attractions.
Right from their My Disney Experience app, guests can also join virtual queues at certain attractions, make dining and experience reservations, mobile order food at many locations throughout the theme parks and resorts. It is like constantly have the help of a virtual assistant along for your vacation with Disney Genie!

As on site Disney resort guests will have the opportunity to access their Disney Genie at 7am the morning of their theme park day making it another perk of choosing to stay at a Walt Disney World resort for your next dream vacation. Disney Genie + and Individual Lightning Lane
For even more convenience and flexibility, there are two other options now available for enjoying the theme parks; through a queue recently introduced called the Lightning Lane entrance that will cut down on guests having to wait in the bulk of popular attractions’ lines. The Disney Genie + will be a paid service, priced at $15 per person per day and with two individual attractions, the two most highly demanded rides at each theme park, available for purchase for an additional fee.
Please keep in mind that while Disney Genie + is a set fee, the individual purchased attractions are an added fee that will change depending on date, attraction and park and are subject to availability. While Disney

With the addition of the new Disney Genie, Disney also made enhancements to their Disability Access Service (DAS) program, including new options to enroll in the program pre-arrival and for DAS participants to select arrival windows for attractions directly in a guests’ My Disney Experience app with this new Disney Genie system. As always, these options will be available in addition to Disney’s in person DAS program.
