Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa

Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa

By Kayla Talbott

You’ll travel back in time to the late 1800s Saratoga Springs, New York during your next Walt Disney World vacation at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa.  Classified as a Deluxe Villa Resort, Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa offers a range of accommodations from Deluxe studios and multi bedroom villas to secluded Treehouse Villas. With five swimming pools, a golf course, bike rentals, nightly campfires, and a health center, this resort is perfect for those looking for a vacation within a vacation.

Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa is located across the lake from Disney Springs, with both a water taxi and walking paths to bring you straight to the action. This unique unofficial amenity makes the resort attractive to guests looking for ample dining and entertainment right at their doorstep. For even closer access, preferred rooms provide the shortest distance to the path and water taxi, making guests in these rooms as close to the Disney Springs action as possible.

Room Types

As one of the original Disney Vacation Club (DVC) resorts, this resort does not have any standard hotel rooms. Instead, every room is a villa – making it the perfect getaway for travelers wanting something a little extra.

The resort has all room types available for booking, from studios to one, two, and three-bedroom villas. Most unique, however, are the Treehouse Villas.

Built in the 2009, Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa’s Treehouse Villas are a hidden gem within the Walt Disney World Resorts. Tucked away only a short distance from the Carriage House, the Treehouse Villas are nestled along the Sassagoula River and surrounded by forest.

These stand-alone buildings sleep up to nine adults and have the added fun of bunkbeds in the third room. The Treehouse Villas have their own bus stop that will bring you back to the main Carriage House, as well as their own pool – so you don’t have to go back to the main resort area to splish-splash in the sun.

Each Treehouse Villa has a full kitchen, large outdoor patio, and provide an unparalleled experience to guests that stay here.

Dining at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa

You don’t have to be a resort guest to dine at any Walt Disney World Resorts, but if you are staying at this resort, you can’t miss out on the amazing dining opportunities this resort has to offer.

Looking for breakfast before the parks, or a post-park snack? The Artist’s Palette is your place. This quick service location serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner and also sells market groceries like milk and eggs. It’s the perfect place to grab some Mickey Waffles before starting an adventure-filled day or mobile order some late-night French fries before heading off to bed.

If you prefer sit-down table service meals, The Turf Club Bar and Grill is your spot. Complete with its own cocktail lounge, a pool table, and wood-paneled walls, the restaurant atmosphere is inspired by turn-of-the-century Upstate New York and has the ambience of an upscale country club. This restaurant is a favorite of golfers after a long day on Disney’s Lake Buena Vista Golf Course, which is located at Saratoga Springs.

Spending a day at the onsite pools? There’s no need to walk back over to the Carriage House to get a bite to eat or cool down with a drink. Each pool has their own quick service restaurant: The Paddock Bar and Grill at The Paddock Pool serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, and has full bar service; On the Rocks near High Rock Spring Pool is known for its Millionaire Margarita (no food here, though); and the Backstretch Pool Bar at The Grandstand Pool operates seasonally and offers bar services and small snacks.

Things to Do

Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa is an incredible option for those looking for a relaxing resort stay with all the amenities you could want or need. With two feature pools featuring waterslides and activities, three leisure pools, and splash pads, you could spend more than a day doing nothing more than hanging by the pool.

As a Disney Deluxe resort, there are also nightly campfire activities every night and Movies Under the Stars on select nights. Additionally, there are surrey bikes and regular bikes available for rental, tennis courts, jogging trails, basketball courts, playgrounds, and more that guests are welcome to use. There is also a state-of-the-art exercise facility right on property.

For additional recreation information and schedules, visit the Saratoga Springs Recreation page, talk to your travel advisor, or visit the front desk.
