Disability Access Service (DAS)

Read Time:6 Minute, 15 Second

Disability Access Service (DAS) is designed to accommodate Guests who have difficulty tolerating extended waits in a conventional queue environment due to a disability (including non-apparent disabilities). The service allows Guests to schedule a return time that is comparable to the current queue wait for the given attraction. Please keep in mind that it does not provide immediate attraction access.

Once a return time is issued, Guests are free to enjoy other theme park offerings while they wait virtually for the return time to arrive, as opposed to waiting in the queue.

There are 2 ways Guests can register for DAS

  1. DAS Advance is a new, enhanced feature of the popular DAS program. This Disney recommended option will allow guests to register in advance via live video chat between 2 and 30 days prior to a park visit.

If deemed eligible for DAS, the Guest (or a parent/guardian if the Guest is under 18 years of age) will then participate in a virtual registration process.

This live chat is available 7am-10pm EST by following this link. Currently, live chat is offered in English only.

The Guest utilizing DAS must be introduced on the video call, and a photo will be taken of them.

At the end of that process, the Guest will be able to book up to 2 one-hour return windows for select experiences. These selections are in addition to the return times you can request throughout the day of your actual park visit.

2. Guests who do not take advantage of the DAS Advance feature will be able to gain assistance in securing DAS passes on site at guest relations. If DAS is provided, you (or a parent/guardian) will participate in a registration process, which requires having a photo taken.

Locations at Walt Disney World Resort include:

  • City Hall at Magic Kingdom park
  • The Guest Relations lobby (near the Main Entrance) at Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park
  • The Guest Relations lobby (near the Main Entrance) at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
  • The Guest Relations lobby (near Spaceship Earth) at Epcot
  • Guest Experience Team kiosks

  • On the Day of Your Park Visit

  • Recommended: Guests using DAS can make return time selections right from the My Disney Experience app on the day of their park visit (including for other members of their party).
  • How to Access the DAS Return Time Self-Selection Tool
After entering a park, open the My Disney Experience app and sign in to your Disney account. Tap the “More” option at the bottom right of the welcome screen. Then, tap on the Disability Access Service (DAS) button to enter the self-selection flow. The tool can also be accessed from attraction detail screens.

If a selection is available, the Guest will be given a one-hour time period during the day of the visit to redeem the selection. Selections are valid for use only on the date and during the one-hour time period chosen and cannot be transferred. Guests who do not pre-register for DAS will not be eligible to receive the DAS Advance selections.

Guests who pre-register for DAS will be able to proceed to the booked attraction to confirm their identity before being able to use DAS, including DAS Advance selections. Guests who pre-register for DAS and use DAS Advance selections will also be able to participate in the existing DAS program, including the option of booking DAS selections using the app.

The return time will be comparable to the current standby wait.

Please keep in mind that DAS return times are valid until the park closes or an attraction closes for the day. And a party can only hold one active DAS return time at once (not counting DAS Advance ride times).

  • If additional assistance is required: Guests can also obtain return times directly from a Cast Member at any theme park Guest Relations or Guest Experience Team location.

  • DAS Questions and Answers

How long is DAS good for?

DAS is valid for up to 60 days. After this time period, Guests need to re-register for the program.

Does a guest utilizing DAS have to ride the attraction at the exact time listed?

No, DAS return times are not limited to a specific window and are valid until the park closes.

Can I use DAS and Disney Genie +?

DAS return times and DAS Advance selections (for those who pre-register for DAS) can be used in combination with Disney’s Genie+ service, paid a la carte attraction selections and the standby lines.

What should we do while waiting for our return DAS attraction time window?

Guests utilizing DAS can experience many other attractions throughout Walt Disney World Resort during a DAS virtual wait, such as other rides, shows, concerts, parades and Character Greetings. They can also take a rest, get something to eat or shop.

Who can obtain a DAS return time for the party once registered?

Any member of a DAS party can obtain a return time for the whole party, but the registered Guest using DAS must be present when the DAS return time is redeemed.

What if I don’t have a smart phone?

Guests can also visit Guest Relations or speak with a member of the Guest Experience Team to receive return times when using a mobile device is not possible.

How many return times can I hold at a time?

A Guest may only have one DAS return time at a time. As soon as the Guest redeems a return time, they may obtain another return time for the same or different attraction.

Can I use my DAS pass to ride Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure?
Guests are required to join the virtual queue to experience this attraction. Once your boarding group is called, see a Cast Member at the attraction for DAS assistance. Note that you may only enter one virtual queue at a time, and the virtual queues are limited and subject to availability.

Can I hold a DAS return time and virtual queue return time at the same time?

A Guest can hold one active DAS return time and join one virtual queue at the same time. Once their boarding group is called, the Guest utilizing DAS, along with their party, will be able to access that attraction through a shorter line as they did previously with virtual queue attractions.

What attractions are available with the DAS pass?

Check out this blog article for more information on what attractions are available with Disney’s DAS pass.

I have a wheelchair, can I receive DAS access?

A Guest whose disability is based on the necessity to use a wheelchair or scooter does not need DAS. Depending on the experience, Guests utilizing a wheelchair or scooter will either wait in the standard queue or receive a return time at the attraction that is comparable to the current standby wait. If you’re a Guest who has mobility questions or concerns, please view Services for Guests with Mobility Disabilities.
