Reservations are highly recommended, as with all Disney dining, but it can be easier to find a dining reservation here.  Reservations can be made online or by calling in to Disney Dining for up to 10 guests.  Ten guests can fit at their “hibachi” tables but be aware that most parties will be sat with other groups to fill the table.

Located on the 2nd floor of the The Mitsukoshi building on top of the gift shop in the Japanese pavilion at Epcot, the entrance is awe inspiring with its impressive staircase (there’s also an elevator.)  The decor of the restaurant is in keeping within a traditional Japanese teppanyaki style restaurant and prices range from $26 to $46.  The cast member servers here are very allergy conscious- they will ask several times about any allergies.

Taken from the Disney website, “Celebrate authentic Japanese cuisine during an exciting dining experience that’s part meal, part show. In the communal ritual of Teppan-yaki-style cooking, skillful chefs chop and stir-fry dishes on grills at your table.

Select from steak, chicken, seafood and vegetable entrées, which are served with Udon noodles and steamed rice. You can also enjoy such favorites as edamame and assorted sushi rolls.

Guests 21 years of age and over can pair their meal with Japanese beer, wine, hot or cold sake and even a sake cocktail.”

With pricing similar to your local “hibachi” restaurant- it’s priced well, the cast member service is top notch, the food is delicious, and they may make a Mickey head out of vegetables or an Olaf out of an onion!

If you are looking for other Japanese dining options- there are several different restaurants across Walt Disney World that serve Japanese.  You’ll find offerings that range from the signature dining experiences (Morimoto Asia at Disney Springs and Takumi-Tei at Epcot) to quick service bites (Katura Grill at Epcot and YeSaki at Disney Springs.)
