  • Disney Skyliner Transportation – This new gondola system offers a bird’s-eye view while connecting Guests to Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios from select Disney Resort hotels—including Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort.

  • Disney Bus Transportation– Most areas throughout Walt Disney World Resort, including theme parks, water parks, Disney Resort hotels and the Disney Springs area, are accessible by complimentary bus transportation. The main bus stop at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is located at Old Port Royale Centertown.
  • Check-in time 3:00 PM, Check-out time 11:00 AM. 
  • Location: Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is almost in the middle of Disney World. It’s just a couple of blocks from Disney’s Hollywood Studios and a short distance to the back entrance to EPCOT. The Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdoms are a bit of a drive.
  • Laundry facilities – Enjoy the convenience of 24-hour self-service laundry rooms located throughout the Resort hotel. You’ll find one in Aruba and 2 in the villages of Jamaica, Martinique, Barbados and Trinidad. Tokens for the washers and dryers are available for purchase in each of the laundry rooms. For dry cleaning or valet laundry service, please drop off your items with Bell Services prior to 9:00 AM.
  • There are no elevators.

Resort Aesthetics

Old Port Royale is the center of Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, housing the main lobby to their shops and dining.

The Caribbean Beach Resort has 5 different “villages” that make up the hotel. Each “village” has a pool, laundry and a bus stop.

This resort was the first of the Disney Moderate Resorts and the rooms are the largest of the moderate resorts. They are about 340 square feet which compares with 260 square feet for the Value Resorts and an average of around 400 square feet in the Deluxe resorts.

Pirate Themed Resort Rooms

Pirate-themed rooms are available at an additional charge beginning at $50 per night over the cost of a standard room, depending on season.

These rooms have some special decorations that make it feel as if you’re living out a Pirates of the Caribbean movie. The beds are made to look like a pirate ship, the dresser looks like boxes on a ship and the floor looks like old wood planks. While the Pirate rooms are heavily themed and amazing, keep in mind, they are the farthest rooms from Old Port Royale.

  • Pirate Standard View – Views of the Resort Hotel, Courtyard or Woodlands – 2 Double Beds- Sleeps up to 4 Adults
  • Pirate Water View – Views of the Lake or Pool -2 Double Beds- Sleeps up to 4 Adults

Dining

  • Centertown Market – is home to the Caribbean Beach Resort’s food court which is open from 6 a.m. until midnight every day, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

  • Centertown Market Grab n Go- The counter service options include the Grab-n-Go shop which has pre-made sandwiches, baked goods, snacks, and drinks.
  • Banana Cabana is a full-service poolside bar
  • Spyglass Grill is located in the Trinidad area of Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. This restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner 
  • Sebastian’s Bistro Table Service restaurant which is open for both lunch and dinner. Lunch has a combination of sandwiches, steak, Jerk chicken and salads along with several good looking appetizers.


Pools

There are a total of 6 pools at the Caribbean Beach Resort, with the main pool – Fuentes del Morro – located outside Old Port Royale.

The main pool features detailed waterfalls, waterslides and water canons as well as a large children’s play area for children under 48″ tall. There is also a kids’ pool located here and a whirlpool spa.


Resort Amenities

  • The Calypso Trading Post  – offers Disney merchandise and essentials for purchase
  • Movies Under the Stars are free movies shown on certain nights on an outdoor screen at Caribbean Cay Island.
  • Children can climb and slide at the resort playground, located near their main pool.
  • Jogging Trail- Take a scenic run or walk along the 0.6-mile course with views of Barefoot Bay.
  • Barefoot Bay Bike Works – Bicycles and Surrey Bikes are available for rent by the half hour. Open from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily.
  • Guided Fishing Excursions : Whether you’re a seasoned sportsman or an amateur angler, a guided fishing excursion is fun for Guests of all ages. Ask you travel advisor for help in booking or call (407) 939-FISH or (407) 939-3474 to make a reservation. Advance reservations are highly recommended.

Choose from Guided Bass Fishing Excursions, which includes a 21-foot Sun Tracker pontoon boat that can accommodate up to 5 Guests, and a tournament-style NITRO® bass fishing boat for up to 3 Guests. Both 2-hour and 4-hour excursions are offered, and if available, an extra hour may be added in person at the Marina. Solo anglers may book an afternoon excursion at a reduced rate.

All Walt Disney World Resort fishing excursions include: An experienced guide, Rod and reel, Tackle, Artificial and/or live bait (NITRO boats will not offer live bait,) Non-alcoholic beverages only (Guests may not bring alcoholic beverages aboard.)
