Disney Essential– Zip-Loc Bags!

For my family, we cannot go on vacation without zip-loc bags! There are SO many uses for zip-loc bags, especially for Disney, that helps keep us organized, dry, and mess-free. I want to share with you some of our uses for zip-loc bags that could potentially help you on your next Disney vacation! Here are some of the ways I use zip-loc bags on my Disney vacations:

1.) Outfit Organization

I might be a little crazy when it comes to Disney outfits. I plan my outfits, as well as my children’s outfits, according to the park we are going to for the day. Like in this picture, I have my daughter’s outfit, with bow attached, and the park and day written on the zip-loc bag. My son’s is the same way, minus the bow. Organizing this way keeps their outfits separated and I can easily find which outfit is for which day! This also keeps extra items such as underwear, socks, bows, necklaces, etc. all together without losing them in a bag.

Bonus: You can easily do extra outfits for your children potty training at Disney! A gallon size zip-loc can easily old 2 toddler outfits and won’t take up much space in your bag. Wet/Dirty clothes can also go in the zip-loc bag!

2.) Itineraries

I ALWAYS have a small itinerary written down so I can easily access it. If my phone dies or if I lose it, no worries! Everything is written down and the bag keeps it dry and mess free!

3.) Activities for Kids

Lines and waits at Disney can be difficult for children so I like to keep little activities, in zip-loc bags, that I can easily pull out. Some items could be sticker books, small cars, play dough, card games, and coloring items. The bags not only keep them organized and contained but also keeps the mess out!

4.) First Aid Items

Disney has a first aid building you can go to if you are feeling sick, have an emergency, or if you have something as small as a cut. (Seriously, they are AMAZING and so helpful!) Sometimes, it’s just easier if you have a band-aid handy for those blisters or small cuts. That’s why we have a small zip-loc bag for a few band-aids, Neosporin packets, Aleve, etc.

5.) Books

My love for Disney knows no bounds and I must bring books like these with me on my trips. My kids also bring a couple of books too for when we are waiting! If it rains, I want these books kept dry so these zip-loc bags keep them dry.

 6.) Electronics

Rain + Electronics = upset people. Especially if it is your only source for taking pictures! Whether it’s raining or if you are riding Splash Mountain for the fifth time in a row, you want to keep those items dry!

7.) Dry Ponchos and Wet Ponchos

We always take ponchos, whether it’s supposed to rain or not, and having them in zip-locs serves 2 purposes: To keep them organized and for after we use them and they’re soaking wet, we can put the wet ponchos back in the zip-locs to keep the inside of our backpacks dry.

8.) Suncreen in Disney is a necessity but having leaked sunscreen all inside your bag is not. The one time I didn’t have a zip-loc bag for my backpack, I had sunscreen and hand sanitizer EVERYWHERE inside my bag. Don’t make the same mistake as me…put your sunscreen, hand sanitizer, and any other liquids inside a zip-loc!

 9.) Snacks

When we are in Disney, we like to eat our breakfasts on the go, sometimes snacks. We keep fruits, cereals, bagels, etc. in these zip-loc bags, in the hotel room fridge. It’s easy to take them out and find what we’d like. If one of us doesn’t finish our food, we can zip it closed and put it back in our bag!

Bonus: If we are eating a snack at Disney we have bought, such as popcorn, pretzel, candy, etc., we can put our uneaten portions inside of a zip-loc bag!

10.) Other uses for zip-loc bags:

-Keep pressed pennies in

-Mess free hands from popsicles

-Put ice and wet paper towel inside to have a makeshift face or neck cooler

-Extra napkins or tissues

I hope these tips will help you on your next Disney vacation!
